Cavani brace leads Uruguay past Mexico in friendly
Núñez scores three as Uruguay dominate Mexico
Edinson Cavani scored twice in the second half as Uruguay earned a 3-0 victory in a friendly against Mexico on Wednesday night.
Uruguay dominated the match from start to finish, and it was no surprise when they took the lead in the 14th minute through Darwin Núñez. The Liverpool striker added two more goals in the second half, and Cavani sealed the victory with a late strike.
It was a disappointing night for Mexico, who were never able to get into the game. They were outplayed in all areas of the pitch, and they were lucky to only concede three goals.
Uruguay, meanwhile, will be pleased with their performance. They looked sharp and organized, and they will be confident heading into their next match against the United States on Sunday.
